Registration

The institute shall consists of Life Members, Associate Life Members, Licentiate Life Members, Non Resident Life Members ( Person residing out side the Jurisdiction of The Institute), Patron Members and Affiliated Institutional Life Members.

ORDINARY LIFE MEMBERS

All Ordinary life members shall be members of the profession of civil engineering, architecture and such other branches of civil engineering and architecture and possessing necessary license issued by the statutory bodies with educational qualification as follows :

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalent recognised by Government or University.
• Degree/ Diploma in Architecture or equivalent recognised by Government or University.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering recognised by The State Technical Board of any state.

Members will enjoy all rights and privileges of the class of membership in which he/she registered.

ASSOCIATE LIFE MEMBERS

Qualified Civil engineers and Architects working as academicians or working with any public sector companies or any govt. or semi govt. bodies, and local authorities shall also be eligible to be life members under this category provided he/she is possessing educational qualification as per clause No. - 2(A).

- Existing Members of The Institute holding the license to practice as surveyor issued by Surat Urban Development Authority or Surat Municipal Corporation or such competent authority. Members will enjoy all rights and privileges of the membership of Associate class.

LICENTIATE LIFE MEMBERSHIP

The Life membership is open to all business concerns having activities such as Civil Contractors, Builders, Traders etc. consistent with the aim of the Institute provided he/she possesses educational qualification as Clause No. - 2(A).

Members will enjoy all rights and privileges of the membership of Licentiate class.

NON RESIDENT LIFE MEMBERS

classes but is residing at a place Beyond SUDA limit, Surat, may be eligible for becoming Non-resident Member, subject to the approval of The Managing Committee and will enjoy rights and privileges of the members of Non-resident Class.

AFFILIATED INSTITUTIONAL LIFE MEMBERS

The managing committee, at its discretion may grant Affiliated institutional membership to an association or institution of professionals having similar objectives as of the institute; working in the jurisdiction of the institute. Such affiliated institutes shall be entitled to depute its two representative (preferably the President and Secretary) to participate in all the meetings of the institute. Institution Membership : The institution membership is open to all institutions connected with teaching, research and development work, design, consultancy and / or construction work in the fields consistent with the aim of the institution. Members will enjoy all rights and privileges of the membership of this class.

PATRON LIFE MEMBERS

Any person who is eligible to become member in any of the above categories of The Institute and who is in the opinion of the Managing Committee is likely to be helpful to The Institute and pays Rs. 25,000 or more shall be selected as Patron Life Member of The Institute who will enjoy all the rights and privileges of the membership for the Class he/she qualifies.

General Note :-Provided that no person who is of unsound mind or who is an undercharged insolvent or found guilty or professional misconduct shall not be entitled to be enrolled or to continue as a member of any of classes of the Institute herein mentioned above.
